Did someone say meatballs? I personally LOVE meatballs, but lately I have been trying to stay away from eating too much red meat, as I’m sure many of you are as well, which is why I wanted to create a recipe for delicious meatballs, that doesn’t require ground beef!
Easy Turkey Meatballs Recipe
Ground turkey has much less saturated fat than beef, it’s lower in cholesterol and it costs less too which makes it even more of a weeknight dinner score! This simple, yet healthy turkey meatball recipe is a great way to trim up your spaghetti night without compromising taste. They are super delicious, flavorful and made with ingredients most people already have on hand…(so no late night grocery run) #winning!
Easy Ground Turkey Meatballs Recipe
A delicious take on easy ground turkey recipes
- 1 pound Ground Turkey 93% lean or more
- 2 tbsp. Italian Style Breadcrumbs
- 1 large Egg
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1/2 small onion finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic finely chopped

Step 1: Put all ingredients except the onion and olive oil into a mixing bowl and gently mix together with your hands until the ground turkey is moist from the egg and all ingredients are blended as one

Step 2: Heat olive oil on medium heat until oil is warm, then add the chopped onion to the pan and let brown

Step 3: Use an ice cream scooper, or manually, roll the meat mixture into medium-sized balls, they should be about 1 1/2 inch in diameter

Step 4: Place each meatball into the hot pan with olive oil and cook on medium-low heat (covered) for about 5 minutes and then rotate the meatballs in intervals of 2 minutes per side until meatballs are no longer pink inside

Step 5: When fully cooked, place meatballs on a plate lined with paper towels to soak up any remaining oil

Step 6: Serve with your favorite pasta or in a sub roll for a delicious, and healthy meal!
