With the support of USAID and MSI, arcenciel raises awareness on the essential act of recycling and sorting process in Lebanon especially after the waste crisis that has started on July 2015.
Through the “BH RECYCLES” project, the collaboration aims to encourage Borj Hammoud municipality to manage their own waste. Therefore, this pilot project targets 40 shops in the area that are ready to participate and sort their waste.
In order to spread the concept, the project empowers youth from the local community and motivates them to spread awareness among local citizens.
For the period of three weeks, arcenciel trains 30 members of St Vincent de Paul Scouts on various environmental topics:
